About Me
Finding presence, not perfection.
Hi, Iβm Lauren β a trauma-informed yoga teacher (RYT-200) and, once upon a time, the ultimate apprehensive yogi.
When I first stepped onto a mat, I wasnβt sure I belonged there. I wasnβt flexible, I didnβt know the poses, and I worried I might be doing it βwrong.β But over time, I discovered that yoga isnβt about performance β itβs about presence, breath, and belonging.
Now, I teach from that same place of compassion and curiosity, creating spaces where every body and every nervous system is honored just as it is. My goal is to help you move gently, trust your bodyβs wisdom, and know that you are enough β exactly as you are, in every moment on the mat.
My Approach
My work outside the studio deeply informs how I guide my classes.
With a long career in disability services, advocacy, and accommodations, Iβve had the privilege of supporting people with a wide range of needs, strengths, and lived experiences. That background shapes my core belief that yoga should be accessible β not just physically, but emotionally and socially β for everyone.
Grounded in principles of dignity, choice, and compassionate support, I bring the values of inclusion, patience, and adaptability from my professional world directly onto the mat. I understand that each student arrives with their own story, body, and rhythm β and I believe every person deserves agency, safety, and a practice that meets them where they are today.
