From Apprehensive to Empowered: A First Month on the Mat

When I first started yoga, I was convinced everyone would notice how “un-yogic” I looked.

My mat felt like a stage, not a sanctuary.

But week by week, something shifted.

Instead of chasing perfect poses, I started celebrating small wins: staying through savasana, breathing through frustration, showing up even when I didn’t feel like it.

Yoga didn’t make me flexible overnight. It made me present. And that presence slowly grew into confidence, compassion, and empowerment.

If you’re new here: your mat doesn’t judge. It just meets you exactly where you are.
